Was thinking about obtaining a firewood permit and cutting down some pinyon pine trees in utah.
Never done this before, and i have been paying close attention to the treads and am pretty confident about getting me a couple of trees worth. Comments

First question: Does Nevada allow firewood to be "imported" from out of state? Not sure what your rules are but with EAB in the southern half of MN plus surrounding states it isn't as easy as it once was.

They don't care what you do with the wood as long as you harvest it legally. Nevada may or may not care but I would advise finding that out.

Talked to a guy this past weekend that works on a county road crew for a neighboring county. They are not taking any trees down this spring until after bats are done nesting. He gave a date but it escapes me now. Anyone else ever hear that before?
