Well here is some pictures of the next tree I get to mill. Hopefully Friday if the weather holds out, want to do a small walnut tree on Saturday.

Here is the Friday one, white oak, biggest tree I have done so far. The tree has been cut up by now and rolled on top of other logs to keep off the ground.

BobL, thanks for the tip about putting a loose zip tie on the throttle, I am going to try that and then push with the saw wrap, and mill handle and see if that eases the strain on my shoulders I had last time. I will see how ti goes.

Nice lookin Oak. It's hard to tell because there are weeds n front of the butt cut. That's not a blue spot about a third of the way in on the cut is it? Beware of iron in the tree, nails or wire. If that is a blue spot, try milling above hand height, Joe.

Nice trees. I'm sure you'll have fun doing those. Just as a comment....not a criticism since you did remember your camera...but maybe try, in the future, to put something known in the picture for scale...your saw...your water bottle..even your hat. It would help the viewer visualize the size of it all. One day you'll want to show your big trees off to other people who don't normally see trees on the ground.
Have fun this weekend though. Take pictures of the inside too.
