Long shot I know but I have seen a few people form NH posting here. Friend of mine had 4 small pines about 16 DBH and about 30-40 feet tall removed from their home on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough NH. The trees were between the house and the lake. There was only two ways to get them down climb and piece them out or pick with a crane and lift them over the house. All I know is the crew that did it had a 160 foot crane and did a very good job both the home owner and I were very impressed with the finished results. The site was left clean and the trunk sections were cut to 4 foot sections and left stacked to be used latter as firewood. We were both upset they we couldnt be there to see it because we are both avid firewood cutters and the home owner used to own a firewood business.

So if your out there speak up job well done and if you have any pictures or video I and the homeowner would love to see them.

Next time I talk to him I will get the companies name.

Let me try to explain it a little better. There is the house then a hill down to the lake about 30 feet give or take. All 4 of these trees were leaning back towards the house and over the deck surrounded by other trees there was no clear drop zone to drop them whole.

From my understanding he got a few estimates the first 2 said they could climb and piece them out this last one gave him a price of almost half of what the other 2 did to do it with a crane.

We had discussed doing it ourselves this winter when the lake froze over because then we could have put a pull line on them and droped them onto the ice. But he decided to have a pro do it.

With 2 of us yesterday we took down two 35' pines, climbed, pieced out, lowered, chipped entire tree and cleaned up in 45 minutes from the time we backed the chipper in till the time we pulled back out. Man people are lazy.
