Will be hard pressed to find a nicer example.
I rebuilt using SKF bearings, OEM seals, and some NOS OEM thin rings.
Saw was ported and base gasket deleted. Cylinder installed with loctite 518..... my go to.
Porting details- increased intake duration and port area. Transfers were opened up and exhaust widened. Exhaust raised just enough to compensate for gasket delete, and lowered to just under piston crown at BDC.
I built a custom deflector to mod the muffler while keeping as close to stock look as possible. Went back and added another opening to the muffler behind front bracket.
Saw has snappy throttle response and pulls very well.
2 tanks since rebuild and port work-
Full wrap handle and large/stock dog.
I’ve included the port pics as I never expect anybody to trust somebody w a grinder
$650 shipped PHO (western-mid USA)
