No Oil Holes In Poulan Bar?

Got a piece of junk Poulan bar with a ms 180. The thing has no oil holes so I plan to drill some

Anyone know why there is no oil holes in the bar?! Not sure what I’m missing!

Is it like the one at the top of the attached PDF?
A lot of small saws use this Oregon A041 mount. The oil feed is via the redundant/upper chain tensioner hole.

Looks like an A041. If the slot width is 8.2mm.

Oh absolutely I knew it was wrong but to be fair the add didn’t have a bar included he just had one I could have. I’ll drill away

I am sure you will find the chain groove extends all the way into the unused bar adjust hole on the top side and the oil is fed through the groove. Very common as you can see in the McCulloch 10 Series bar above.

The Stihl bars are higher or wider at the tail end. You might decide to do it right the bar needs shortened, and then a shorter chain.
