This summer I got an old wood furnace from an elderly gentleman was tired of burning wood(or health reasons, couldn't physically) and I put it outside in a metal shed. I ducted return air as well as warm into the duct work under my house.
This past week it was -8 degrees here at night and I had some windows open to help maintain about 75 degrees.
My propane furnace has not fired up once yet and I hope it won't all season. I have about 25 face cord of beach that's dry, cut, split and stacked.
Last year pissed me off,one month was over $400.00 for my highest heating bill.... I'm loving this.:love1:

I am looking forward to getting my CB 6048 hooked up. I have already filled my propane tank ($978) and I will sure be glad to get rid of that bill. Last year it cost me around 3 grand to heat my house. Winter sure did come early here in michigan.

Get it hooked up soon!!! Been real cold lately.

Ahhh Yes, what a great feeling... I was paying anywhere from $1000 to $1500 per winter to heat our rancher. Now I just use a little to heat my water in the summmer/warmer months.Congrats on your find and install in the outside shed, sounds like a good idea and alot less mess.

We need photos

Please take some photos to show how to use a regular wood furnace in other applications.. Such as the one Southbound did. Thanks
