Did you know,and I'm sure you did,that the D 44,can trace its legacy,or pass on the same,to most likely the most successful go kart engine of all times,the Mc 49?In this form,and later take offs,they dominated the field,in the early 60's.As a teenager,I can remember these little gems cranking over 14,000 rpms,and holding together for a race or 3.Whatever big Mac became,it was the king of the track,back then.

No. a 797 is direct drive. look on the bottom of the saw, on the crankcase, there SHOULD be a set of munbers there.
 
Homelite 6-63

Draggin an old post out of the archives, gang....

Does anyone else out there have a Homelite 6-63??

Dean's and Mange's two and a couple other ones I've heard of in Europe are the only one's I've heard of.... and I thought I knew a little bit about Homies....
