does anyone have a spare owners manual for a Norwood Mark IV? I called Norwood and they want $60 (45+12ship), seems kinda steep. I'll place an ad in the Trading Post too, just figured it would get more exposure here.

After you would run around, try and copy one (which is actually illegal BTW), and calculate the time involved, honestly that doesn't sound like a bad price to me.

But what do I know...

Good luck!

It's a MUST HAVE, as it's full of good info, plus it would take a lot of copying if you want it all!

I have one here that i don't need, the problem is i have no idea where it is, and couldn't find it when i looked and looked for it, some time ago! :(

Did you register your mill with Norwood? They won't sell you any parts if you need them, if it's not registered with them.

Yup, even to the guy that stole the mizer he has, or bought a stolen mill, unlike Norwood.

Is that the reason Norwood won't sell parts, unless the mills registered?
Or is it something else?
Im deciding between the two for a band mill.
Thanks.

I've seen numerous times guys come to the Norwood forum saying their mills were stolen and was glad Norwood was trying to help them recover them. The owner of Norwood told me it was one of the ways they were trying to help out those owners.

Seems reasonable to me, and it cost you nothing. You call them on THEIR dime.

I haven't registered the mill with Norwood, I didn't know they did that. I will do so here soon! I'll go ahead and order the manual too.

Oh, I see...I didn't understand that it was up to Norwood to decide if you have a stolen sawmill or not, that all makes sense now. Do they hire lawyers to work there or something?

Good thing I have the freight invoice from the seller I bought my sawmill from, where it shipped from Norwood to him...
