Cut some chestnut oak crotches this weekend. (Pls bear with me. This is the 1st time I've tried to post pics)

Built a bench to span the log supports for short pieces. Supports can be adjusted independently to help align the centers of the piece. Still need some shims for stability and to align the 2 forked centers. First cut was through the center with subsequent cuts off the bottom of each half -5/4 thick. 24 inch bar. Each cut took about a minute.

Some nice feather in the center pieces but I like the curly figure from the outside pieces better. They will get stacked & stickered to dry for a few months under cover outdoors, then cut down and planed. Probably end up as door panels or drawer fronts.
Pics took a long time to upload as attachments. Is there a better way?
