Which one works better? I'm going to add some to my next order and was trying to decide which to get.

I've never tried the grease but the oil is the nuts, except that it seems to make my white's a little more leaky than normal

I have used the sno seal on several pairs of boots. I also have used mink oil on the red wings and it seemed to work good. I was just thinking of trying some of the obenauf's since I was ordering some stuff from baileys.

I believe the grease is for those times where your boots are really dry. The oil is for touching up.

Or, when I have time and the sun is out, I put on the grease. When there is no sun or I have less time, I use the oil.

I think the grease is the best of the two.

I've never used Obenauf's oil; I've sworn by the grease since 1995. That stuff is the best. It's not just for when the boots are really dry (though it will bring tired leather back from the dead more often than not!) but for regular maintenance, too. Don't forget to pack some in along the seam where the welt is. That's the most likely place for water to leak in.

Nailed it. Buy both. The oil is nice for a quick touch up. I've forgotten Mike, did you end up going with the Vibergs?

Yeah, buy both because they are two different products. Use the grease as often as needed, once a week if it's really wet or you're on the fireline, touch up with oil when time is pinched. Melt the grease in with sunlight or a hair drier (yours, NEVER your wife's), or a warm fire. During the summer once every three weeks, touch up with oil.

I ended up with some hoffman boots to go along with the red wings that are steel toed. I've always used mink oil or sno seal in the winter time on my boots before.
