I was reading the teufelberger cathalog and saw in the pages about several products (ocean polyester and HCR included), commonly used in tree climbing this statement:

Do not use this product to secure persons or for hoisting purposes , in compliance with
the European Directive 2006/42/EC .

the reason for this is that the teufelberger doesn't endorse the use, of any product, unless that it is in a certified system or product?

they meet ANSI standards I think european standards are more riggerous but since i dont read german i really dont know. but that is funny there marketing something like that I use ocean cord all the time i like it better than BL

the pdf language of the teufelberger cathalog is english

Ok my dear! I never used Ocean Polyester but I think that it shoud be very interesting, because of 25% more polyester than beeline...
it could protect the fragile to abrasion-technora and maybe it give a longer life to the cord than beeline....
the advantage of beeline, I think... is that it is easy to splice... i read something about the more difficult to splice Ocean Polyester.
thanks
