Has anyone come up with an available dye to add to mobil MX2T soes we know for sure its in their. What if I added just enough stihl oil to show color, total proper ratio of course. which oil has the most visable color??

I haven't used that oil.... you mean it's clear?

It's a synthetic oil, right?

Why not just use regular oil mix and not worry about it?
You will not notice any benefit from experimenting with other oils.

Yes eric I believe clear ,one of the only complaints ive heard about it.Fish must have a dino-oil well on his diggens.

Fish is a dinosaur and he`s trying to set up his retirement. :D

MX2T has a very slight amount of color and unfortunately it seems to be the same color as pump gas around here.

There are several companies who make suitable dyes, but the only one whom I`ve found to sell it in less than 55gallon quantities is Sandy Bray Labs. Unfortunately I put their phone number in a safe place and I can`t find it, LOL. :D

Fish, didn`t you learn anything about how the ester base used in MX2T disolves carbon? I think that you are just trying to stir the pot! BTW, glad that you found your way back.

i like the mx also .. but fish got a point..
u experiment with u sweet thang,,be bad to mess a good thing up.. been there ,,done that. my teen daughter would be proud.. NOT.. DAD DONT DONT ACT YOUNG.. JUS BE OLD DAD.:)

Here's what I do: I'm very careful to label what is in each can and when I mixed it.

If I don't know for sure if what I have is OK, I put it in one of the tractors or something, and start over.

I tried MX2T, mostly just to see if it smelled good. Too spendy, and hard to find. I've been buying Citgo semi-synth oil lately; can't beat the price and it meets the mfgr requirements, easy to get.
