This is in regards to my fairly new MS-200, which I am by the way, happy as heck with. I have had the oil set to the E position, after checking it it threw very little oil when testing. I adding about 1/8 turn and it throws a lot more oil. I would think in this case a little more is better?

Im a firm believer in wasting oil. My saws with adjustable oilers are always cranked up. A gallon of bar oil is much cheaper than a bar. In reallity though, if it has dectable spray, its probably ok.

There is a reason why it's adjustable.

Turn it up full if blocking or cutting big branches. For twigs or 1-2 inch branches, if that's what you are mainly doing, "E" is fine.

Me? I just leave it on full.

Thanks guys, I thought as much Lakeside. It will still run out of gas before it runs out of oil, even turned up. On the E position that little sucker uses hardly any oil at all!

Dont know about yall but I can cloud up my garage with the ms361's oiler set on high...love that thing. And yes, it is always on high. Too much oil wont hurt, not enough=BAD.
