Would there be any problem as far as stress on the rope goes with putting a swivel directly on the rope bridge? This one here has a nice smooth and rounded ID which I thought would be nice:

I can't beleive you would waltz in here and waste our time with these troll like questions. This has been talked about before and the fact that you want to talk about now only means you are a troll. You are obviously screwing with our heads and up to no good.
I recomend you go get a job at JoeBob's Tree Service where in on month you will have learned everything you need to know.

If you want a swivel on your bridge you ought to go with a biner that has an intergrated swivel so that the biner end can clip into your hitch climber pulley.

... or lion's paw, or whatever. This is my Traverse rig. The combination swivel / biner is a "Swivel Captive Eye", $35 Sherrill. The "Rock Exotica" swivels just add length to the system if you have to clip into them with a biner anyway. Like he said, been posted before.

Thanks for the help. Honestly I fail to see why I could not just put a swivel right on the bridge though, I figured someone would say something like "Don't do it, Harry from Kalamazoo died last year from doing just that!". But I'll take your word for it.

Ha I would give you rep for that if I had any.

Plas nobody said you couldn't just put a swivel right on the bridge. Do you see where the biner in the bridge in this photo would be more compact and eliminate one piece of hardware?

I did see that yes but an oval 'biner (like the Petzl OK I use) works best on a Hitchclimber. The integrated swivel/'biner in the photo might work but not as nice as an oval.

It looks like the one in the pic would work better to me. An oval biner flopping around between a swivel and a hitch climber doesn't seem like a better option but hopefully your original question has been answered.

I was going by this training video:

Figured I'm not in a position to question a training video just yet :)

The other thing I was thinking is that with an integral swivel/'biner, I can't un-clip the climbing system from my saddle without taking the hitch climber apart...the split-tail would be free floating, whereas with a separate 'biner, it all stays together.
