I apologize , as I re posted the link as an item of interest, I did not notice that there was no way to get ahold of the guy. Just looking at the pix's make my hands hurt and my knuckles all white and numb! Those were some work horses!
Memories of working on saws, way back in the day! I never owned an SXL-925, and they were never broke so bad that I could have got one on the cheep. But very popular, and most got there yearly tune-up, usually when they did come in, they got sharpened twice, once before the tune, and again right before they picked the saw up,,,,with big ol rounds freshly cut in my test log pile
Talk about a saw that will buck the rope, age and the oil used just raised the compression : ratio!
