Old Saw

Where would a fella look to find old saws? I started when I was 16, I started driving an old blue Homeltie 55 SuperWiz with I think a 30" belly bar and it ran half inch chain. This thing had them old soft brass dogs.

I would really like to find another one just to have up on the shelf, to show my kids what the first tool I ever used was. Old sentimental reasons mostly.

Does anyone have any leads where I could look.

Try your local equipment dealers, especially ones who have been in buisiness forever.



I have a gravely dealer nearby who used to be a homelite dealer and has many old saws and parts, even new homies in da box!


Now if he only had the models Im interested in.

Swap meets at old engine shows can be a good place also. If you have saws to display at a show like this, you will have people approach you with offers to sell you old saws they have at home. This is how you can get bargains.

What McC says is a good idea!

The last motor show/swap I went to I has a sign up and got offers for more saws than I could afford.




People even came to me with leads on other sellers with saws out.
