Any help would be much apprrciated.
I have an old sthil top handled saw. 020 i think . External clutch. It needs a new sprocket which i have. I have used a piston stop and it removed the nut which holds a clutch cover plate. Taken this off to expose the clutch. But it wont come off. I thought it would just lift out. Please help.
Thanks

The clutch is still ok and the shoes are not stuck out.
The clutch will only rotate as far as piston will go. Is it maybe threaded on in some way.

The clutch is screwed on and will have to be released having just had to go through it my self. Try using some heat on the clutch and then try and "tap" it free. Your going to have to use quite a bit of force.
