I bought this guy recently. Went to change the knives and look for the bed knife... where is it??
Underneath the drum there is about a 2-3" diameter yellow tube that goes across right where I expected the bed knife to be.. My other chippers are disk chippers and my assumption is that you need a 90 degree angle on the edge of the anvil. I haven't owned a large drum style chipper like this before. What am I missing? Does that tube under the drum actually serve as an anvil?
Haven't fed any wood through it yet. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
