OLN TV Today at 4:30pm est.

The Bath, NY Woodsman competition is on at 4:30pm est. I was interviewed by Bill Deba right after my hotsaw against Gary Hammond. Lets say my run was not the preatyest since it was my 1st competition with the new saw. If someone tapes it please let me know. I don't get OLN on my Dish.

Thanks,
Chris

I only saw about 5 min.of it,then something in Ontario, lumberjack show.I don't think I can cut as fast with a chainsaw,as some of those bowsaw cuts.I did notice the cuts on the spring board, with that hard Canadian wood, was not as fast,as the second round of the Stihl games, held in Lima, using soft Ohio white pine.

I had 6th in Bowsaw with my old 4 cutter. I remeber when i finished the anouncer asked me what I thought.... Back stage later there was agreement about that piece of wood. And we both vowed to get them next time. Thats bowsaw in a nut-shell.
The 2-cutters were king that day and many after that.....

Chris- you are one to reckon with now. Wayne- that six cutter is out the window, the blade you are going to have is much better, do you have a frame?

Chris, you are starting to learn. When we do bad it's always the wood's fault. When we do well it's our good cutting LOL.

From the looks of it, OLN only showed one of the two shows they taped? I'm just curious, as I thought they filmed several other events other than the springboard, underhand, bow saw, Jack & Jill, etc. I don't remember seeing the hotsaw, but I did catch JP's cut at the end when they were interviewing him for the All Around. I also remember them filming the two man, but I didn't see it yesterday.

All in All, I thought it was a good show. My misses and I will come back next year assuming it doesn't conflict with any local WV shows.

Oh yeah, I got it on Tivo. Will probably download it to DVD. Chopwood, do we know each other, just curious?

All the best,

Jamie,
If you get the Bath show on disk can I get a copy? Both Gretchen and I were intervied and if I'm in there that would be kool.
If you do make it up I hope that I can get in a chopping lesson. Now that would be cool.
As for learning about bowsaw... I remeber a cold night in Syracuse at the practice field were Andy sat there and smoothed out my stroke. I was running the Factory race blade as fast as some of the other guys ran the arrow head blade. Now with the 2 cutter blades I really like them. They just fit my cutting style alot easyer.

I believe there are quite a few of us that would like to a copy of the OLN broadcast. I rarely ever look to see whats on and I would like a copy if some one taped it. I did remember this year to tape all the Timbersports shows that ESPN2 showed.

Chris,
The show that we have thus far doesn't show the hotsaw, but I'm under the impression it was a 1 of 2 deal. Between now and next season, I should have ample time to burn you a copy.

In regards to a chopping lesson. The door's always open. The unfortunate thing about my work responsibilities is that I'm allowed very little free time to galibant around. I'm seriously concerned with how the Sthil Series is going to work for 2005. Based upon rumor, one of the shows may be in Colorado the week after Hayward. As a result, I might have to forego Hayward for the first time in 20 years. What I'm trying to say is that unless we're at a two day show and we have time on Saturday night, I normally have to get back in my truck and hit the road because I have to be in Court on Monday or an appointment, etc. On the training front, thus far we've had two visitors this fall for chopping weekends. We train inside under lights so we normally go until the wee hours of the morning. As of now, we'll have at least three groups of people swinging by over the next two months. This enthusiasm keeps me fresh.

All the best,
Jamie

Anybody have a copy they can send me of the show?? Can't do much work outside with this weather so I might as well watch something entertaining.
Thanks,
Chris
