Hi,
A few months ago, I picked up an Olympyk 935DF for $30. Doesn't seem like too bad of a saw. It was very dirty, and I took it apart, and cleaned the heck out of it, just like I do with all my saws. The stupid thing is, that the throttle linkage is impossible to figure out. I bent it, and then unbent it, when putting it back together, but it still sticks. And if I bend it the other way, not to stick, it gets stuck. Anyone know where I can buy parts for it, mainly the wire throttle linkage? Overall, how is it for a saw? It seems like it has an alright power to weight ratio. What puzzled me was, though, that the depth gauges were filed down ALL the way. I was offered another chain with it, but it was filed the same way. Luckily, I had a 14" oregon semi chisel from my junk Mcc 32cc. The one with the depth gauges filed flat cut crooked. It can't cut like my 039 can, or my 011AV, but it is a nice little saw to keep strapped to the four wheeler, in case I need it. Any input, or stories about it would be appreciated. Thanks. I have pictures, somewhere on my computer or pocket PC of it.

I'd like to see a picture. It's one of the few olympyks I've never had.

Possibly with a picture of your throttle linkage I could offer some bending advice too. I've fabricated a lot of un-available throttle linkages before out of electric fence wire.

All my experinces with olympyk have been positive. Nice quality saws on the whole. :rockn:

I've read on the net, that it is a pro saw. Is that true? Is it more of a heavy duty saw than my 039, then?

I imagine the 935DF is comprable to the 935D that I have some literature on. The 935D is an arborist saw so can't really be compared with an 039.

The 935D is a pro quality saw though.
