Is there any particular dealer that AS'ers could recommend for on-line parts for Husqvarna's? Price isn't as important as inventory, knowledge, attitude, returns, etc. I'm mean, price is still a factor but I'd rather have a part for $5 more than wait an extra two weeks only to get the wrong part. The closest Husky dealer in my area told me he switched to Jonsered's based on Husky's on-line and box store sales policies. Thanks!

Did he switch so completely that he refuses to service his past sales? Is Husqvarna getting to be such jerks that they won't continue to service parts? In my locale lots of these guys service everything, or know who does.
Remember that Jonsered saws of the last few years are Husqvarna on the inside anyway.

When I was talking with him about Husky's sales policies, I didn't directly ask about service, since I didn't own the brand yet (now I do). His response indicated that he wanted nothing to do with Husqvarna at all. I'd be PO'd if I bought a saw from him and then he bailed out on parts and service. He proudly showed me his Jonsered's line of saws and made the claim that they were identical to Husqvarna 'cept for the color! I'd have to cut with one first before I believed him.

They are identical except for color, however, Husky has a few models that they do not market as Jonsereds.
I'll bet the guy is taking care of his old customers, unless he has burnt his bridge on parts procurement. His Jonsered parts would not cover many of the Husky models he might have out in the field.
Husky dealers around here are also changing to other lines, usually Jonsered or Dolmar.
eyolf, servicing everything is O.K., but getting the parts is the difficult thing that sometimes makes it impractical from a profitability standpoint
