my one handed wonder husky 335xpt dosen't want to wake up its been a while since ive used it because i dont really climb any more but i got some pine trees close to a house and i got the climbing bug any ways back to the 335 what should the compression be? its got spark but dosen't want to pop with a little shot of gas in the carb i got desperate and gave it a quick snort or starter fluid nothing whats this little guys problem any thing i should look for?

Tie a rope to the handle and use it as a chock block or a boat anchor, the choice is 100% personal preference.

these are notorious for having bad carb issues, and ovrall a bad rep for reliability.

I hear the new 338 is different and has none of these issues. I run the 200T so dont have a clue on the new Huskies!

this happened to be my favorite small saw i got the 015 but i still like the little husky the best a guy that worked for me nick named it the one handed wonder saw and it kinda stuck

sounds like the fule line might be shot ?. try some gas down the carb and see if it fires

oops note to self read more throughly :yoyo:
have you

checked the spark gap it should be 0.5 mm

spark arrester screen

air Filter ?

plug gap is good, new plug no change air filter is good with or with out no change good flow on the muffler im at a loss like is said its got good spark it dosent seem to want to fire

Next step after ignition check and compression check is to do a pressure/vacuum check.

IMO this saw is not worth diving into. UNLESS you have all the tools your self to do all the tests. These are cheap enough to pick up used and use this one for parts.
