Very nice neighbor. You will not regret trying out the mill, it's one of the most rewarding forms of hard work I have ever tried. Good luck. BTW, what part of NY are you from? Seems most of the NY people on here are from downstate, I am up on the St. Lawrence river myself.

About 37 miles south in the town of colton. I'll say this, when we were young our parents had a camp (back when they were) on Wilson Hill and spent plenty of time on the St.Lawrence River.

That's not too far at all. I grew up in Copenhagen myself, my wife brought me to this place. I miss Tug Hill but the hunting here is pretty good. We live out of town a ways and her family has a ton of land. That makes it real nice. What are you running on your mill and which mill are you getting?

I'm running the 660 stihl on the Alaskan MK-III 36 inch, just waiting for the aux. oiler and mini mill.

We have some good size white pine down that need milling.

I bet that pulls real well on the mill. I am supposed to pick up my new Dolmar 9010 this week, bad oiler out of the factory. It is a 90cc saw, I have been making due with an old Stihl 045av. You will like the mini mill, it makes life a lot easier fore sure. Once you start milling it is hard to stop.

The mini mill and the aux. oiler came in so Sunday I'm cutting some firewood from a hung up tree we brought down then during the week I'll get eveything assembled and we should be ready for some milling next weekend.
