Thanks Rich for asking posing the question. I've wanted to ask the same question but was unsure if it was against the AS rules. I've been using and maintaining saws for years. I have a great local parts source for Stihl.

My local source for Husky is priced higher than others and rarely has items I need. He mostly supports husky products other than saws. When it comes to parts, I know exactly what I need description and parts numbers. After repeated internet searches, I'm unable to find an husky oem internet source. I just haven't got the time to smile at the counter guy while he asks questions. Your source recomendation would be appreciated. Shelton WA.

Bailey's can get anything you want, and is a full service repair shop as well, so asking question works. Very helpful, knowledgable staff. Great prices too.

I was gonna post a link from a place called OPEcenter.com, found here on the browse ads page at arboristsite.

I went and looked first...for all with genteel tastes, don't bother, link turns up a nasty **** site now.

I guess they went belly up, but they used to have a very comprehensive list of Husky parts, by part no's. Newer Jonsered stuff was in there too, if you knew the Elux part number.

Sigh....

Parts dealers

I stumbled onto my parts dealer while traveling with best girl Stopped for gas in this little nowhere town and there was a Husky dealer across the street. I went in to get some part that I'd been needing for awhile. He said, "I can have it here tomorrow." I told him that I lived about a hundred miles away. He said, "I'll have it shipped to you house."

That was all I needed to hear. we did business for years. When Husqvarna yanked his dealership during their entry campaign into Lowe's, I located another dealer just the other side of the city from me. I asked them, if I call you with a need, will you ship immediately, or is shipping kind of a hassle for you? They told me outright that they hated to deal with mailing stuff out.

Even though dealer # 2 was physically closer, I just don't have time to drive across town for parts. I have backup saws so I stay working. I located a third dealer who loves having my business and will mail to me, anything I need, as soon as she can. I'm happy to spend money there when I need equipment and they'll send ANYTHING they stock.

If your local dealer will ship immediately as possible and is a few bucks higher than Bailey's, it can often be worth it in the service and appreciation you'll get back. plus you do business locally. They're always just a phone call away. -TM-
