Hi,
I saw this saw on ebay and then I looked it up on Mike Acres site. Its a pretty big saw. Any thoughts or opinions on it? Thanks
Ryan

My brother had one of those. He cut 4 or 5 cords of wood every winter for 20
years before he finally wore it out. Alot of people make fun of the Homelites made today by whoever is making them. There was a time when Homelite was a helluva saw. There are thousands of old Homelites out there still running strong. The 410 was one of them....

I too have one for years and used it hard. over all it was a good saw.
here are its faults: chainbrake problems, real heavy for the power, not as fast as euopean saw, Carb and reed valve problems although not major.:jawdrop:

The 410 is a big heavy powerful, professional grade saw. Broad powerband and good torque. Fairly fast...but not as highrevving as a Husky of of the same displacement of the same period and definitely slower than the Huskies and stihls of today. It is also a couple of pounds heavier for is displacement than a comparable european saw.
