I've got a 56" mill on the way myself. Hope to get to use it in a week or so on some big oaks.

Good to here guys. Milling pics are everyones favourite. Mdalvee, you just got an 880 did'nt you?? That should do the trick! I'd be interested to know how your going to set things up, ie chain, bar, aux oiler, lopro, square/round, 6t/7t/8t ect. Great hobby thats for sure.

I've got an 084 and 088. For now it will be a 48" .404" semi chisel. Soon it will be converted to 3/8" and skip chain I guess of square ground since there's no semi chisel skip in .063". I'm going to fix up a aux oiler for it also. It will be a 7 pin for .404" and 3/8".

Congratulations on the mills. Now you'll have others drooling on their keyboards! I started out with a chain saw mill and still use it to break down anything over 34" diameter for the band saw mill. Mdavlee, how will you be sharpening your square ground chain for ripping? I've always used round-filed semi-chisel filed to 10 degrees for milling, since it can take more abuse with fewer sharpenings. Felling experience is that square ground chisel chains cut great for a while, but needs more sharpening, and are difficult to sharpen by hand.
