Oregon chain saw?

I've seen this chainsaw but don't know the make? anybody heard of it and if so is it any good.I'll be using it just for lopping off overhanging branches and small trees obstructing telephone cables. Any help would be appreciated
 
Oregon makes chainsaw accessories, I dont think they make saws. So if the bar says Oregon, that is why. Post some pics
 
My first college class back in 1978, was a management / supervision class.

The instructor, Mr. Ruggles, happened to be the plant supervisor for that company.

He took the class on a field trip of the plant so we could see all the machinery for making and packaging the saw chain.
 
bet that was interesting Mario. probably why I watch how its made all the time. some things are what you expect, others are not...

That's right, but they did make a couple of models some time in the early 1960s.
I believe they were discontiued after the field tests - no real production.

asplundh uses oregon hydraulic pole saws to trim around the electric lines thats what we had when i worked for them. ive never seen a gas powered oregon saw .
 
Checked out saw in store. It is made in China with an Oregon chain arm. Body is too plasticky and doesn't look very robust. Back to the drawing board!!!!
