I must say after using carlton full chisel's for awhile and REALLY liking them the new lgx's i have been using are pretty darn impressive also...

Does LGX hold it's edge better than LG?

Robby26wi--
I switched to Stihl RS and RSC because It stays sharp longer than LG. But LG is convenient because I can use the Husky Roller guide. Stihl Dealers sell the RS/RSC for about $1 per inch.

You can use the same one on the RS/RSC (and RM), if you mod it slightly. :rockn:

I prefer LP to LG, but thats just me, haven't really tested them against under equal terms ( the LGs I have is pretty old, and I have no bar that really fit them, because of wear).

I have a loop of LGX right now. The cutter look nicer, but the hardness seems about equal to the old LG. Out of the box its pretty sharp, but dulls fast. Once you have it filled correctly it cuts just like LG did.
