What is pallet lumber or pallet stock worth in Missouri. Which one could i make the most money with and looking for info one rail road ties like size price and how to sell. Any info would be great and feel free to tell me how it is.:cool2:

pallet wood here abouts will bring 30.00 ish/ton - sent a trailer of 'crosstie' to it's mill today, woods run, rough- white oak-red oak-sweet gum-hickory- in 9' + 18' lengths, no double heart, can also mix in yellow poplar in standard log lengths to make up the load- low 50's /ton. Nice way for landowner to get rid of larger less valuable at a pretty fair $ IMO...

I talked to a tie buyer here in Missouri (Bunker) a couple weeks ago. They were paying either $21.50 or $22.50 for a 7"x9" 8'6" tie. They bought other sizes as well. The prices averaged about $.50 a board foot for ties delivered to them. The ties had to be hardwood and heart cuts. I'm not sure on this but I think pallet lumber only pays in the $.30 or so board range. Mills usually cut the 1xs off the edges to get to a tie. Hope this helps. Call some tie companys and see if they are buying. Same goes for pallet mills. give a few a call.
