Palm pruning

This is a newbie question about pruning palm but do you guys remove the small dead tip from the fronds? I know obvious the Dead fronds are removed but not to sure if it's ideal removing the dead tip. Thanks

The only fronds I've ever seen with just the tips removed have been HO's doing it to small palms .They look very odd when done that way.

Nay, waste of time. The whole frond or none of it.

Palm trimming.

It depends what the client wants and how much they are willing to pay, you would be the only judge of that.

Sometimes remove half fronds on pheonix palms when a certain amount of clearance is needed underneath. Better to cut the end off a few drooping ones than have to raise the whole crown several layers higher. Looks fine
