Hi there
Do you think putting a paver patio here to replace my rotten deck is a bad idea. Worried I’ll kill the big birch tree. Base is Sandy clay mostly. It’s a wet area, low point in the yard. Patio will exist entirely under the drip line and cover approximately 1/3of it. Was thinking go with a permeable base so the roots still have some ability to breath and get some moisture.
Thanks for any insights, I would like to avoid my nice birch tree getting blown onto my shop next year; lack experience with this sort of thing.
