Petzl Navaho BOD, good enough for starting out?

Petzl Navaho BOD work position fall arrest harness.

If it was free still in package from a very trustworthy relative. I understand it is missing a floating bridge. Was originally saving for a basic weaver or cheap tree saddle but relative said I could have this one.
