Those pics were great. I went to a local mill, big circular, that my Dad knew the owner of. I wanted a bunch of Oak logs milled to make flooring for our truck beds. He wouldn't touch them because they were yard trees. I noticed big belts running over head from building to building. Being dissapointed about not getting my logs milled I never asked about the belts. Several years later, after I heard of the owners death, I found out that in one of the buildings was a huge steam locomotive he used for power. I never got to see it. After his death, a truck hit him in his mill yard, the family donated his mill to the state or county. I think they have it restored on dispaly. If they do I'll get pics and post them, Joe.
