picked up a 066 last week

i've been working this thinning job of 40 acres in mt. vernon, just north of seattle, wa. i pretty much have given up on my :censored: 064 so my 034 has been getting quite a workout with a 28" full chisel skip-tooth. to make a long story short, last week on my way up to the job i stopped by to look at a 066. real nice guy and also a arboristsite.com member. i bought the saw. when i got to the job i wanted to find a tree worthy of the saw......i found it. actually i found 2 of them, doug fir. i put my 32" bar w/ full chisel skip tooth chain. i thought i had put some big trees to the ground before, boy was i wrong. check out these #'s, this is 1 tree and not counting what was above the four 32' 10" saw logs. it's a rush you can only get by experiencing over 20,000 lbs of tree crashing down as it jumps of the stump just feet away from where you're standing. i still feel a little :jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop:

i've got to make a road passable for a self-loader then yep, off to the mills. i got cedar, maple, hemlock, fir, and a huge cherry tree. the cherry has a base about 14' tall and all of 36" dia. with little to no taper. any market for old big cherry? already sent some of the maple off in billets to be made into instruments. all together about an est. 25,000 board ft., so far...and piling it higher.
