Yesterday I picked up this saw. I was going to pass on it but since I had never seen or heard of one, I shelled out the $5.00 bucks for it anyway. Heck the 16" bar and chain were worth the dough.:)
The owner said it quit running on him about 20 years ago so he put it away.
It had the usual caked on bar oil wood dust combo on it including all those years of dust collected by sitting in the garage. I should have snapped a pic of it before I started but the excitement to tear into it got the better of me.
I did a quick clean up and inspected the p&c thru the exhaust port, it had no visible signs of damage. Compression tested out at 145, so I put a new carb kit on the walbro HDC that is in it. Mixed up some fuel according to the cover instructions in photo 4 and dang thing started on the 5th pull. Put it in some wood and was very surprised by the power this thing has. It would make a great climbing saw except for the fact that the power head alone weighs in at 12 lbs. I googled it and went to Acres site but no further info. I would like to find out how many cc's the motor is without breaking her all the way down.

She is a great running saw and I am happy to add her to the line up.

Give me a holler if you want to sell it. Don't know if it is worth anything, but I collect the O&R powered saws. Don't know why, just do!

There neat little saws, and I believe there 2ci displacement.

I just got a Ford version of it running. I asked questions and got some help on it here. http://www.arboristsite.com/showthread.php?t=123563&highlight=ford

Hey Thanks for the link to your previous thread.
Your Ford and my Magna are one of the same saws just different colors and name tags. The filter setup is weird. Gutsy little saw but the dang thing is heavy. How did you determine it was 2.0 ci? BTW the little foam filter on this saw was falling apart so I made a new one out of the foam insert that came in some electronic parts I had ordered a couple years ago.:)

Not wanting to sell it at this time, still gonna play with it for a while, may even keep it, but since you asked You'll be the first one to have a crack at it if I do.

O & R= Olsen & Rice, I used to run there model airplane motors 50 years ago. I think I still have one laying around.
