Got myself an 11hp Dosko. Its real old and had a hard life.
We dont do very many stumps, I have a alpine magnum like grinder but it beats me as much as it beats the stump, and all to often we have bigger stumps with good access so I wanted a bigger machine without investing big bucks into it. I also wanted to get something safer for my guys to use.

Got this because it was cheap, its a proven design and it was cheap. Im planning on puting a 16hp engine on it which has another 400 rpm at full noise. (4000rpm vs the old 3600rpm)

Im going to fit it out with greenteeth as its currently got as much chance grinding a stump as an old toothless guy has of biting into a coconut.

I was wondering if the extra RPM was going to be a good or bad thing, and if the greenteeth are the best choice, and what other things I should look at doing to make this a better machine (aside from buying something better).

Oh and what size hex is needed to take the teeth off, biggest I have is 10mm and its far to small. Not keen on buying a big new set just for one use!

Grinder.

Hope you get it going well, I couldn't imagine the extra 400RPM being much of a problem.

If you are using the 700 series greenteeth then I believe a 9/16 AF ring spanner is what you are after.

Im going to get greenteeth but they currently have those 1/2 inch shank teeth. It has a set of 8 and the pockets are held on by huge hex/allen keys, they must be at least 15mm.

For now I have to get a new set of these 1/2 inch shanks but dont know what pattern they are usually in. 2 sets of side cutters and 2 straight I guess?

I've got an 11hp Dosko too. Bought it dirt cheap but needed new bearings and the frame was cracked and needed some welding. If you go with the bigger engine you may need to beef things up where the bearings bolt up to the frame.
I use the Greenteeth tap and turn, I can rotate the entire set in the field in less than 5 minutes. You can get 2 rotates before they need to be sharpened. I bought the sharpening wheel from Bailey's so I do my own sharpening.
I built my own hitch so I can tow it. It tracks nice and straight, I've pulled it 70mph down the interstate. Nice little money making unit!
