Pioneer 1073, want to resurrect

Rewind is messed up. Pulled the cord and it stayed out. Is it just dirty inside?

Take off your recoil and have a look.....You may have a stuck ratchet or a broken spring or a bar wire link

Strip it down, clean it up, see what you need ,they are a very simple saw.

If the spring is broken there's a number of sources for low-cost replacements. Those are good old Pioneer saws, like Jerry said they're simple like a Diplodocus.
