I'm guessing Holliday? Want to build it into a firewood saw since it's a little Frankenstein already idc what it looks like

Holiday. Here is mine. SXL rings fit. I forget what seals to use, I have a thread somewhere. They are loud saws. Slow and grunty.
Good that works I'm going to pull it down and check the bearings and crank ect thinking about putting a round filter on it with som sort of adapter and maybe make a muffler idk. will need to find other stuff for it like the bar plates and cover the clutch bell is a little worse for wear and will need a top handle/mount idk if I have one somewhere. It would be one of those saws where I wouldn't care how it looked just as long as it functions kind of a bone yard parts deal.

We call that a turd saw and sometimes they run great. It has a wick fuel filter and if you are splitting the case i would replace it at that time. Some gaskets are still available.
Yeah going to need that and a gas cap hopefully I can find the filter cap shouldn't be too hard I may even have it somewhere the bot everything was in kinda fell apart after sitting for 3 or so years.

I also discovered I have either a p series or a 1074 shell sitting here with the points so hopefully I can figure out my 1074 it wont shut off

Is the homelite super xl the same saw? Sure looks like it. Looking at the jugs and a few other parts as well as the shape of the saw ect.

Well my parts saw showed up and other then scoring on the piston on the exhaust side it looked decent was definitely ran a lot has everything I need missing a few screws but I think we all are🙄.
Difference between this one and the other hull is this one has a choke carb(my original has the primer ball)and a rim sprocket clutch idk what one to build yet will have to tear them down and have a look.
Between the 2 there’s enough parts to build a saw.

I’m wanting to use a clamp on style air filter on this old girl I’m thinking one of the foam ones. Red beard saws says the air filter adapter from a Husqvarna 281 288 low top will work on some pioneers anyone got any ideas?

Is this useable has something like putting in the cylinder and this was supposed to be the good cylinder.
