I am attempting to get a old P50 running, but it will only run for 10 seconds then dies. you have to choke it again to get it to start (every time) then shut the choke off and hold the throttle wide open and crank on it a couple times then it starts and will only run wide open for 10 seconds then it sounds like someone just hit the kill switch! I have done some basics, new fuel filter and line. I also tried a different fuel cap, thought maybe the vent was plugged, but no luck! Any advice would be great! THANK YOU!!!!

Sounds like it does not want to pull fuel.Pulse pump problems which can include a hard diaphragm, wrong manifold/reed block gasket, blocked pulse hole
in manifold or an air leak elsewhere on the saw can make the engine behave like this.Check the integrity of the fuel line by attaching a pressure tester to
the filter end and pumping up to 5 to 7 psi. This will check the line, needle and
pulse pump gask for leaks eliminating 3 possible problem areas.
