Pioneer RA (IEL) or 600 piston rings

Hi, Does anybody have a P/N or interchange for a RA piston ring? Ibelieve they were 58mm. I was going to have a look at some stihl ts500 piston rings but they probably are not as thick. Thanks in advance!

Caber makes rings of the proper size, I got them from the Greek guy on eBay years back. I havn`t checked to see if he still sells on there, Dandrikop or some name like that had the correct square end rings .Stihl or Husqvarna rings will be of the notched ring end type as their pistons use ring end keepers in the pistons where the Pioneer saws did not.
DLA is the company heading to look for and yes he is still selling rings. 57mm X 1.5mm,

I havehad some dealings with this company before, all favorable. What is your opinion on the cast iron rings? I mainly do automotive work in which cast iorn is BAD!!!!

The ductile iron rings were what these saws came fitted with and they will last a good deal of time, we kept several new sets on hand back when we ran these saws full time and would replace a set every second year of use. It seems to get squared end rings these are not many choices of material. Maybe Hastings has something in their inventory but for saws this old how much actual use will they ever see.

Hey did those 57mm by 1.5mm rings work? I’m in the same boat as you wanted to know before buying
