Piston Pin Fit....

Hello and good evening to the fine people of Arboristsite!

I just removed the piston and cylinder from my 281XP. When I removed the clips and and tried to push the pin out, it wouldn't move. I had to tap it out using a small socket and a plastic hammer. It tapped out easily. The resistance I felt was from the wrist pin to piston fit, the bearing is in good condition. Is this normal? I thought the pin would slide out easily by hand. Thanks for any input!

Upon closer inspection.... I found some cracks and pit marks, looks like it got hot, that may explain the pin........

It's normal. Some pins you have to heat the piston to insert.
