this limb has been over the car for a few weeks now. it appers to have moved a bit. the car has no plates on it, so its not going to go any where soon.

so place your bets. how long till it hits the car?

more evidence of why cables are snake oil and should rarely be used. Yet another failure cause by a karate cable.

forgot to mention,....sweet caddy

limb

Call AAA and get them to tow the car out of the way then throw a rope around the limb and have the tow truck pull the limb out while he is there. Hard to tell from the pic how much decay the wood has. First good wind ought to drop it. Three days if the wind doesn't show.

I give it 29 days befor it come of the tree and on to the power line as dead as it looks I bet the line keeeps it from falling down completely. After that it will probably stay for a few more months.

Nate, the reason th cable caused the failue is that it's installed tooo far down ot do any good. looks like it is in the bottom third portion of the limb.

Looks like it may be a good splice thought ;)

Do you suppose that the car was parked there AFTER the break?

It is too soon to tell when the limb will fall. We need more time for the inspectors to work. It has not been conclusively determined that a limb failure has occurred. No action should be iniated unilaterally. France has determined to veto any resolution to action on this limb. Inspections are working. Give the inspectors more time.;)
