Ma.
I took my 13 year old boy out to fly his remote controlled plane for the first time. We went to a field that is on a state owned field in Bridgewater Ma. Two minutes into the flight my son was banking to the left in an attempt to circle back towards us when it crashed into the top of a 85 foot hardwood tree in a swamp. I tried hooking the tree but there were to many small limbs in the way to get past them with my lanyard. Being on state property I was unable to cut any of the limbs off. I'm hoping there is somebody reading this message that is an experancd climber that would be willing to help me retrive this plane. Thanks

So, its OK to spike the tree, but not OK to cut off limbs?

plane

Well that's a good question. I never gave that any thought. I use to do cable work so I just went home an got my hooks and tried to recover the plane.

Karpat,
did you get the plane down though?

I keep seeing this poor kid all sad and wanting his plane back.

You try the local tree services? I would think on a Sunday someone would feel religious or something.

(sorry, I'm in Texas)

Hi Oak:
The plane is still treed. Going on three weeks. It's time for you to make a trip east :) It's funny I've got a brother that lives in San Angelo an I use to live in Waco. Small world.

Around these parts getting someone in the office on a Sunday is a rarity. I did put a call into a friend that has a friend that owns a tree service company and asked a couple of people that use to do that type of work but as of right now no luck.

Thanks for you concern, I'm sure eventually it will all work out. Keep the faith brother.

Will do. Hoping it works out - remembering a bully that thru a little kid's stuffed animal up on a roof, we got it down and he was one happy camper. Made my day. hell, week.

Freddyburg here - midway 'tween S.A. and Angelo. No rain for several weeks now - repeat of last year. Floods will hit July 3rd, cancelling the fireworks that get cancelled because of droubt. Angelo's greener than we are - odd huh?

Good luck with the friend's friend. World needs more people who like kids more than money.

Thanks, when it happens I'll drop you a line and let you know.
