Can anyone help me identify these saws? Makes and models, if you know.

And this one?

Thanks for any help!

I have a couple similar. Not much different to either of these, but I'd say the McCulloch (10 series I'm led to believe) looks the most similar to the one in your picture.

I will post you a couple pic's, but at the moment my file size is too large.

Dan

Dan, this is where you made one small mistake, the fuel tank on the 10 series is right in front of the air filter cover, on this saw, its all the way up at the front of the saw, a Poulan design. it resembles the 306, or possibly, but I'm not certain here, a 245 series saw as Lust4saws said.

I'm not saying its the same, but certainly the same stable.

Thanks for the input guys. I'd love to hear more, as it's a hot topic of discussion on this board:

Here

Someone's found the make and model and believes it should be kept secret. I disagree.

I posted a pic of these two a while back to try to identify them myself.

Don't know if this link will work to that old post.

Yes the two in this pic are European Macs one being coloured to be possibly a store brand but notice the difference in the location of the fuel cap.
Or maybe that orange/brown coloured saw might be a Montgomery Ward ??

Mc Bob.

Bob, the fuel caps are in the same place, its just not easy to see on that dark pic as the Mc's is black, square and quite flat.

The orange one is marked up as a Danarm Frontier 5R I would add a link to Mike Acres site, but can't get on it at the moment. I think on there I found one called a 55 Auto that looks to be identical.

At least we now agree that it's a Poulan. It was really unfair to put us to the test to identify the saw, since the two models (306 and 245) look exactly alike. Even the saw experts that we all are, can't tell between two models that look identical.

It wasn't a test, though - we didn't know! We were trusting this here learned group to help figure it out. And you did! Thanks so much-
