Is there anyway to get a pole pruner to work with an fs250 line trimmer? I have been searching for hours and can't find anything concrete. I also have an echo 225 straight shaft if there is a pole pruner attachment for that. I cannot seem to find anything that will attach to either one, but maybe someone knows something I don't.

I hope I can find something, it will only be used 5-10 hours a year for small branches under 6". I could always pick up a cheaper homeowner pole pruner, just hate to buy another line trimmer like tool for such limited use.

Go buy the Kombi pruner attachment. Remove the kombi tube and your trimmer head. The pruner head will bolt right on to your 250. This is the cheapest way to get the pruner gearbox. If we have to replace any gearhead stuff at the shop, we just get a kombi whatever, and use what parts we need.

At one time, I was very serious about purchasing an FS-250 trimmer.

When speaking to the Stihl dealer, he made it clear that it is a dedicated trimmer, and no other attachments will work on it.

That and it's high price swayed me into staying with my FS-44 trimmer. Well......that and some loyalty. :msp_thumbup:

Awesome, was hoping something like that would work! I saw a few pole pruner heads on e bay I assume they will also bolt up. Does that sound like a viable option also?
