heres my situation i an rebuilding this 044 one of many i have been salvaging parts for this off a crushed 460 the 44 had a metal flywheel that when the crank bearing let go bashed up the coil pretty bad it still worked but im going to put the good one out of the 460 in it anyways hes my question what are the advantages/disadvantage of both fly wheels i can see the polly being safer say the metal one was damaged but will the different weights be a problem? thanks chris oh and the carb Q will i gain anything by using the 460 carb on a stock 044? i may do a muff mod if that makes a difference

You can't use a poly 046 flywheel on an 044/440, the crank tapers are different. The 046 and 044 carbs are almost always identical so you're not likely to gain much there. The performance characteristics between the Walbro HD and Zama C3M carb are a bit different you may find you prefer one over the other.
