this was from a job we did this summer....i posted a bunch of them over at mb's site a while ago. but, i thought i'd post them here now to try and get a rigging thread going.

Man, I'd love to have pictures of even 1% of the tricky rigging jobs I've done. But as I'm sure you're aware, we usually don't get pictures of the tricky jobs unless the customer takes them. I just did a big job Tuesday with two other members of this forum. Shawn had his camera and wanted to take pictures but we got so busy on the job that nobody had time to stop and go grab the camera. There was always something else to do that was more important.

I'm going to make it a point to start bringing my digital point-n-shoot and handing it to the customer on technical jobs. Too bad I didn't start doing that 15 years ago. :(

Nice pictures Ken. Big, uprooted wood with lots of targets and a tiny landing zone make for a very intense day, but you feel on top of the world once it's on the ground. You just gotta outsmart the log! :)

Love those 'postage stamp' backyards up in NYC. I swear sometimes it seemed like the bed of the truck was bigger than the drop zone. Add a ground crew and a few hundred feet of rope and the yard gets smaller. I had a rope-man holding a rope standing in a basement doorway on one job in Brooklyn NY years ago. Pretty work, and fortunate the other tree was there to rig off, would have been fun without it. ;)

we used the other half for the rigging, but the funny thing is we were going to use a different tree in another yard for some of our rigging. but another tree crew showed up to remove the tree. what are the odds of that?

the lines you see in the other tree are from the other tree svc.......oh well, we went to plan b:D

Nice job Ken,

how many man hours went into that job?

it took around 7-8 hours to get it all down and cut up. the guy tied in on the bucket planned the whole thing out. it all got cleaned up the same day.
