Wife’s grandfather gave me a poulan 2000 years ago and I was thinking of getting it running.I think it would make a good limb saw given it’s size,I was wondering if anyone else had used one and if there were any issues to look for when trying to get it running.Thank You in advance for any suggestions.

I bought one new years back. 94. 33cc

Common needs. Replace fuel line from tank to carb. Echo 3mmx5mm works great. Just use as 1 piece. No need to cut 2 pieces like OEM.

Air filter will crumble. Couple bucks for new.

The duckbill will most times be bad for the oiler to work. Easy fix too. If it isnt oiling. 99% of time that. Other would be the line inside oil tank rotted off.

Most times carb kit needed for carb.

I added a AV to my front handle as I got older.

GL and be safe.

Took from a poulan parts saw that came in. Have to use the handle that come with the AV.

Also ordered the red one to have as a back up.

You might get lucky on the carb kit and duckbill. Dont hurt to check first. Never had to do the duckbill on my 1994 one.

Interestingly enough, I was going to start a thread about the 2100 tonight, which I believe is the same saw but with a back handle instead of top handle.

I found mine in the dump 3 or 4 years ago and couldn't get it to fire when I initially gave it a few pulls. I threw it in the back of the shed, and forgot about it till recently when I realized I need to clean out the saw shack a bit. So now I'm debating trying to get it running, parting it out, or just letting it go as is and getting it out of the way.
