i have one of these in very nice condition. i am actually close to selling it (not here, though the potential buyer may be a member), and wanted some quick real opinions of its possible dollar value. here is one picture.

Well a year ago the Poulan 306 and similar were selling at some crazy prices. Apparently there was some sort of a Texas Chain Saw Massacre revival and the horror cult were paying high prices. I think that has died off though

I recently bought the same saw just in the Dayton version with no bar and chain for $78.00, shipping added another $30. Just needed a fuel line in the tank and runs really well.
To get a value from smarter people on this site than myself, you'll want to give more info on condition, runs?, issues? etc.

Asking $1,250 for it on the bay is most likely not going to go to anyone on this site IMO. Not that they aren't rich, just that they know the value of it.

has compression, but decided to not go through the whole deal of getting it running. all of my older saws have run well after not being used for long periods, and i know that lots of people enjoy the act of doing there own restoration work, and knowing what was done from the beginning.

and yes, typical enthusiasts do not want to spend much $ on their acquisitions. it's not the rarest of the rare, but still pretty desirable.

ALL depends on who sees it and what they behold. I wanted one because when I was a yuute, my uncle had one and I always admired it. So, I picked up the Dayton one because of that. Still will look out for the green real deal version in my adventures along the way.
It's a nice looking saw that isn't too scarred up.

The saw has sold. Heading to Tennessee soon.

Selling singular items on eBay, I am esp. interested in knowing what someone is willing to pay total (item, shipping, taxes) for an item. Not what I end up with, but what it costs them to acquire it.
