I got off work tonight to find out that a buddy had made good on his promise and dropped the old junker saw he wanted to get of to me at my shop. He told me it was a poulan and the trigger was broke, I was expecting abeat up Wild Thing, I about fell over when I saw a 4900 counter vibe complete with a nice 24 inch bar and a brand new piece of 3/8 .050 waiyinh to be fitted to it, wich I immediately did.
Dumped the tanks and added fresh oil and fuel, set the choke, and after 3 good pulls she barked opened the choke and yanked again and she growled hard and loud afew card adjustments and she purred. To say I was excited is a huge understatment!
Here is the rub the trigger is broken, not completly just enough that you really have to manipulate a finger to get her to rev. I have searched the internet high and low and finding a new throttle trigger for this old gal is like chasing unicorns.
So here I am anybody got a throttle trigger for a 4900 they are willing to sale me, or can I fabricate one from another saw, I got lots of old husky, stihl, modern poulan, and even a few pieces from a jonsered. I would sure appreciate any help or ideas thanks.
